 where are the promised changes
You kept telling us that you wanted change for Coopertown, well I can not see where this is happening. Coopertown is still on the news channels on tv telling bad things about Coopertown. Never do you hear anything good that happens here. You make all of the local newspapers[ I 24 Exchange, Ashland City Times, and Robertson County Times] instead of just the Robertson County Times but it is always bad things. When are we going to hear about some good things happening in Coopertown?
If you wanted to cut back on expenses you should have done it some place other than the police department. You are telling all the bad people that Coopertown is unprotected so come on and rob, steal, run more drugs, or what ever you want no one is going to stop you. If you cared about Coopertown and the people who live here like you claim you would never have done this. We are taking steps backward instead of moving forward.

Country Girl:
You fail to realize that Mayor Childs has only been in office just over a month and you may feel he is not moving fast enough but you fail to know the mess he walked into.
After checking several of your past postings you gave Mr. Crosby glowing revels! Now you want to bust Mayor Childs chops! Well he cant fix four years of mess over night might take him four years to just scratch the surface!
The reason we are staying in the New Media is due to the following people:
Jack Long, Shannon Crutcher, and the Retaliations. They keep calling the news media and making an interesting story plot WHY because they are not getting their way! Jack Long is acting a dog in heat trying to hunch a position that has been neutered. Shannon Crutcher lost all her power at City Hall and her paying job with the Judge and she claims she is scared for her life at the meetings, the Retaliations have lost money the ex-mayor owes them and he is no longer needed or on any committees and lost his power and reconciliation.
The police dept is not the only cuts Mayor Childs has made you need to notice that the street crew, office personnel have been downsized. If you will also notice that the alderman didn’t get a pay raise and neither did the mayor. I feel the police dept needs to be cut even more! Like get rid of all of them and hire new ones and start over with new personnel with no baggage.
Just give him time to get the dog out of his way, sheepish, cry babies, moaners and groaners out of his way so he can make progress. Then you will see a lot of changes for the better.

Isn't the Mayor going to respond or comment to CG ? I thought this spot was so we could hear it "from the horses mouth"!

The current mayor has a better probablity of coming on to this forum and answering questions/comments...but most likely he is busy with court cases being brought up by Jack Long, Jr for a $92/month position on city council.
The real truth is...had the resignation of Larry Mulstadt been advertised in a posted agenda within 7 days of the meeting and the appointment of a replacement was going to be selected at that meeting...I guarantee ALL alderman would have been present. The boards appointment that night (Jack Long, Jr) was not present at the meeting. If he had wanted to be selected for the appointment to fill the vacant seat, he should have been present and after the resignation was formalized, he would have had to been duly sworn in under oath by Danny James Crosby. Instead he waits nearly three weeks and then blindsides the City Judge and has him swear him in....
Jack Long, Jr. is a fraud. I expect him to be named as the next person in the state government to be named as running unauthorized background checks on citizens of Coopertown without their consent.

He has already used his position to prawl around in closed personnel files but theses people where glad to see he didn't run for the last election and they didn't force the issue. Maybe she will contact his supervisor and bring it to his attention and show that he just a low down liver lived dog!

I can't beleive Shannon she has lost her marbles over this 'surprise' defeat. She was sure one the would not allow herself to wrap her mind around the problem once she had decided Danny was a godsend. She couldn't see past her petty feelings for her right to be better than everone else is my best guess. We had no credibility in her eyes but fortunately we did elsewhere and in spades I might add. Her credibility was washed up when she couldn't call a spade a spade, really.

Guess we know what the current administration is doing, investigations--investigations--investigations--no time for change until the truth comes out!! Can't wait to hear the truth about some who have been so outspoken on this site about their savior Crosby!

I guess I am confused again Country Girl--I see nothing but good things on the TV. The police are off of I-24 and the force is down to size that we can afford. I applaude that!! And all in the first month! The city is fighting the illegal appointment of Jack Long- and I think that is great!
Seems like Coopertown is changing in the right direction at last.
Also, we went to a meeting on lighting I-24 and left in agreement with the other governments- again, nothing but Good- Looks like we are off to a great start of the next four years to me.
I am sorry you feel unprotected, but guess you will feell that way since the new administration is not going to take your crap!
