I noticed the comment by Mrs. Ruth that it sure is a shame the current employees are suffering from the things done in the past. It's a double shame when you think about how avoidable a lot of this was. People who followed closely did not need a law degree to tell that the bad things which were happening would be paid for later. I know Mrs. Slawson repeatedly tried to use the solid resources like the Tennessee Code Annotate, which are our state laws, as tools to demonstrate why those decisions should have been rethought. For her effort, all she got was a hard way to go. Now it is no surprise that we see you simply can't ignore peoples Civil Right, State laws, Federal laws and regulations that are in place. Perhaps all of these laws and reg's are not perfect, I could agree with that thought, but most of them are used for a just cause. So many opportunities, for them to have taken a different approach in light of these facts, are what made it so frustrating for the whole lot of us trying to make them fly right. Here is to a new year and hope for our employees that we can pay them and retain them.
